Baltimore, Md. - Senior Blair Snyder was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference's Defensive Player of the Week for volleyball as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon. It was the first time Snyder has earned a weekly award this season.
Snyder earned the honor after averaging 5.11 digs and 1.11 blocks a game last week in games against Iona and Manhattan. She also averaged 3.89 kills and recorded four aces. Snyder tallied 25 digs and four blocks in a 3-1 win over Iona. She also added 12 kills. In a 3-2 loss to Manhattan, she tallied 21 digs, six blocks and 23 kills.
Snyder and the Greyhounds wrap-up their regular season schedule this week, first traveling to Rider on Thursday and then playing their final home game of the season on Saturday versus Fairfield.
