April 18, 2007

Baltimore, Md. - Loyola College head volleyball coach Kristina Hernandez announced Wednesday that the Greyhounds will add Jordan Sickman, a 6-3 right side hitter from Tempe, Ariz., for the 2007 season. Sickman will join Nina Camaioni in the class of 2011.

Sickman will come to Loyola from Corona del Sol High School in Tempe where her team was a 5A State finalist in the fall. She earned a Central Region Honorable Mention as a senior. Sickman played the previous three seasons of her high school career at Mogollon High School where she earned 1A all-regional first-team status. Mongollon was the 1A State Runner-up during her sophomore campaign. Sickman played club volleyball for Club Red, the same club team as current Loyola freshman Karlee Woodward. Club Red was the 2007 Las Vegas Invitational Champion for the 18-Club division. They were seeded No. 1 out of 145 teams.

Sickman is a member of the national honor society at Corona del Sol and earned the school's Code of Honor and Integrity Scholarship Award this year.
