Sophomore Jane Lukas shared a match-high of 12 kills, while freshman Molly Cichosz knocked down nine. Sophomore Micah Duzey led all players with 15 digs and sophomore Kelly McShea dished out 26 assists.
For Bucknell, Hailey Stout led the way with a double-double of 12 kills and 10 digs.
Loyola struggled to find its momentum early in the first set, as Erika Eastley rattled off eight-straight points for the Bison, giving Bucknell an early 13-2 advantage. Kadri Lutter then landed three-straight aces in the middle of another 8-0 run for the Bison to push Bucknell ahead, 21-4, en route to a 25-6 set win.
The second set was a different story, as the Bison and Greyhounds battled through six tie scores early on. Loyola held an advantage at 8-6 before three-straight attack errors gave the Bison the lead back, 9-8. Loyola battled to knot the score at 10, on a kill from Lukas, but that would be as close as the Greyhounds would get, as Bucknell strung together a 5-0 run and held at least a two-point advantage through the remainder of the set for a 25-21 victory.
Loyola battled again through the beginning of the third frame, with the game being tied for a seventh time at 12 all. The Bison broke the stalemate though and earned nine of the next 11 points for a 21-14 lead. Lukas landed back-to-back kills to bring Loyola within five, but Bucknell held off the Greyhounds and closed out the match with a 25-18 win.
The Greyhounds will conclude their season on Saturday at Colgate. Match time is scheduled for 3 p.m.
