FAIRFIELD, CT - Loyola's volleyball team fell to Fairfield by a score of 3-1 in a late-season Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) showdown on Sunday afternoon.

The Greyhounds busted out of the gates early with a 30-27 win in Game One as they posted a .275 hitting percentage, but dropped the next three stanzas by scores of 30-19 in Game Two, 30-20 in Game Three, and 30-24 in Game Four.

Loyola was led on the offensive end by Susanna Leffers' 12 kills, Becky Corb's 11 kills, and Christine Lopez's 10 kills. Megan Maguire led the Greyhounds' defensive effort with 15 digs.

After recording a major upset of Iona on Friday night to improve to 2-4 in the conference, Sunday's loss sets Loyola's record back to 2-5 in the MAAC and 3-23 overall.
