Baltimore, Md. - The Loyola College volleyball team dropped a 3-2 decision against Saint Peter's Sunday afternoon in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action. The Peahens won games one and two by scores of 30-24 and 31-29 before the `Hounds came back taking games three and four by scores of 30-19 and 30-16. Saint Peter's earned the win with a 15-7 score in the final game. Loyola falls to 7-21 overall and 5-8 in conference play while the Peahens improve to 12-17 on the season and 5-8 in the league.
Freshman Karlee Woodward led the Loyola attack with 19 kills and a .500 hitting percentage. She also led the Greyhounds on the block with six block assists. Senior Blair Snyder added 16 kills and a team-high 15 digs. Sophomore Rachel Schillinger added 10 kills and four block assists. Freshman setter Chrissey Cruz was credited with 55 assists.
For the Peahens, Serra Soylu hit a game-high 28 kills and added a solo block and four block assists. Sasha Pshenychka recorded 12 kills. Michale Hausfater dished out 33 assists while Caroline Garvey added 19. India Walker tallied a team-high 15 digs.
The Greyhounds return to the road, visiting Iona on Saturday, November 4.
