Maloney Puts Up Eight Blocks In Volleyball Loss At Siena

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Loyola Univeristy Maryland middle blocker Mindy Maloney matched her career-high with eight blocks on Sunday afternoon at Siena College, but the Saints defeated the visiting Greyhounds, 25-12, 12-25, 25-18, 28-26, in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action.

Maloney had five solo blocks and also posted seven blocks for Loyola.

Faye Lukas had 12 kills, and Jac Bullock added 10, for Loyola, while Lauren Arnold had nine.

Siena hit .212 for the match and held Loyola to .084. Taylor Akana led the Saints with 25 kills.

The Greyhounds return to Reitz Arena next weekend for their first MAAC weekend at home since September 17-18. The host Fairfield on Saturday and Iona on Sunday. Both matches start at 2 o'clock.
