Loundonville, N.Y. - The Loyola College volleyball team fell to Siena, 3-0 Sunday afternoon at the Alumni Recreation Center in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action. The Greyhounds fell by scores of 30-16, 30-15 and 30-15. Loyola falls to 6-21 on the season and 4-8 in conference play while the Saints improve to 14-11 overall and 10-2 in the MAAC.
The Greyhounds were led on the attack by freshman Karlee Woodward's seven kills. Sophomore Rachel Schillinger recorded six kills while both Woodward and Schillinger recorded a .357 hitting percentage. Freshman setter Chrissey Cruz was credited with 22 assists. Senior Blair Snyder led Loyola in digs with nine while freshman Kimi Gabriel added eight.
Nadiege Honore led Siena's attack with 15 kills an .500 hitting percentage. Burgandy McCurty added 10 kills and a .625 hitting percentage. Setter April London dished out 48 assists while Kaui Robello tallied a team-high 11 digs.
Loyola returns home next week, hosting Rider on Saturday, October 28 and Saint Peter's on Sunday, October 29.
