JERSEY CITY, N.J. - Loyola University Maryland middle blockers Jac Bullock and Mindy Maloney combined for 24 kills and a .538 hitting percentage on Monday night as the Greyhounds cruised by Saint Peter's in straight-sets, winning 26-24, 25-17, 25-19, in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action.

Bullock extended her double-digits kills streak to 11 matches, leading all players with 14 on Monday night. She produced her 14 kills with just one error in 24 chances.

Maloney used just 15 swings to post 10 kills with only two errors. She has 10 or more kills in five of the Greyhounds' last nine games.

Loyola (12-10 overall, 5-6 MAAC) started slowly in the first set, going up by three at 23-20 before Saint Peter's scored four of the next five to tie the set at 24-24. Two Peacocks' hitting miscues, however, put Loyola up, 1-0, in the match despite siding out just 36-percent of the time in the set.

The Greyhounds were more efficient in the second and third sets, including a come-from-behind win in the final frame.

Saint Peter's (1-23, 0-10) led 14-12 after a Loyola hitting error, but a Peacocks' service error gave the Greyhounds a point and after a Saint Peter's hitting error, Bullock put up a solo block to put Loyola in front by one.

Laura Reinhart had a sideout kill for Saint Peter's to tie the set once more, but an Elena Frac kill gave Loyola the lead for good.

The Greyhounds hit .248 for the match, as Lauren Andersen had 38 assists and a team-best 12 digs.

Loyola wraps up its five-match swing away from home on Saturday, October 20, when it plays at Rider University in a 1 o'clock match.
