BALTIMORE - Loyola University Maryland hit a season-best .354 and had just eight hitting errors, as it beat visiting Saint Peter's University, 25-23, 25-11, 25-19, in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.

Four Greyhounds posted six or more kills in the match, led by Jac Bullock's 10. Lauren Arnold had eight, and Katie Dircks and Faye Lukas each added six.

Mindy Maloney had four kills and four total blocks, all in the first set, and Nicole Sarby posted three kills and six assists.

Loyola (10-7 overall, 3-3 MAAC) trailed by as many as six at two points in the first set, going behind 13-9 on a Lauren Reinhart kill for Saint Peter's (1-20, 0-7).

Arnold put away a kill to sideout for the Greyhounds, and Maloney had a solo block on the next point before a Dircks kill made it 19-16.

Maloney and Arnold combined on a block to close the gap to two, but a service error gave a point back to the Peacocks. Arnold, however, registered another sideout kill, and a Saint Peter's attack error and a Maloney solo block tied the set at 20-20.

The Greyhounds hit .407 in the second and third sets and sided out at a 77-perecnt clip in those sets to close the match.

Janet Pressler led Loyola with 13 digs, while Lauren Andersen posted 12 along with 28 assists.

Lauren Behrens had 13 kills for Saint Peter's, but the Greyhounds also forced her into nine errors.

Loyola is back in action on Sunday to close out a four-match homestand with a 2 o'clock contest against Manhattan College.
