Baltimore, Md, - Junior Becky Corb led the Loyola volleyball team in a 3-0 sweep of Coppin State Tuesday night at the Coppin Center. The Greyhounds improve to 4-10 with the win while the Eagles fall to 0-8. Loyola won by game scores of 30-20, 30-13, 30-22.
Corb tallied a game-high 10 kills and tied a team-high with five digs and Christina Greenup chipped in with eight kills and a match-high five aces. Christine Lopez added seven kills as the Greyhounds tallied one of their highest hitting percentages of the season.
The Greyhounds held the advantage over Coppin in kills (38-26), digs (30-15) and in service aces (10-1).
Krystal Williams had a team-high 17 assists, a block and four kills for Coppin State and was followed by Renee Bowen's seven kills and match-high two blocks.
Loyola will return home for its second home contest by facing Robert Morris on Sunday, October 3. Game time is set for 5:00.
