FAIRFAX, Va. - Five Bryant University players had five or more kills, and three posted 10-plus digs, as the Bulldogs defeated Loyola University Maryland, 25-20, 25-19, 25-22 on Saturday morning in the Mason Invitational.
Zoe Pawlak and Ann Ernst each had 10 kills for Loyola, and Pawlak had her first career double-double with 10 digs. Molly Werts also had a double-double for the Greyhounds with 17 assists and a season-best 12 digs.
Bryant led for all but the opening six points of the match and did not trail in either of the final two frames. Ava Patterson had eight kills to lead the Bulldogs, while Kirstyn Sperry and Kiley Robbins had seven a piece.
The Greyhounds wrap up their weekend in Northern Virginia when they face the host school, George Mason University, at 7 p.m.
