STORRS, Conn. - Haley Puddy hit a season-best .500, but Yale University held the rest of Loyola University Maryland’s attack to .012 in a 25-19, 25-16, 25-14 non-conference victory to close out the teams’ appearances in the University of Connecticut’s Dog Pound Challenge.

Puddy put away seven kills with just one error in 12 swings. Ann Ernst had a team-high 11 kills for Loyola, leading them in that category for the fifth time in six matches.

Meanwhile, the Bulldogs (5-1 overall) hit at a .269 clip. Brittani Steinberg led Yale with 10 kills and three service aces.

The Greyhounds continue non-conference action on Tuesday, Sept. 13, with a 7 p.m. match in Washington, D.C., where they will take on Howard University.
