Greyhounds Dominate In Win over Coppin State

WORCESTER, Mass. - Loyola College closed out action at the Holy Cross College Crusader Classic with a decisive win over Coppin State, defeating the Eagles 30-10, 30-23, 30-23, on Saturday afternoon.

Thirteen Loyola players saw action in the match, as the Greyhounds improved to 6-6 on the season.

Nina Camaioni led Loyola with eight kills, while Christina Greenup and Rachel Schillinger each had seven. Karlee Woodward added six, and Joanne Schurtz had four. Jordan Sickman saw her first action of the season, registering two kills.

Woodward led all players with six total kills, two solo. Brittany Born led the Greyhounds with eight digs, and Chrissey Cruz had 24 assists.

Kristen Muscarella saw time as the setter, finishing with seven assists.

Indria Laurencin led all players with 10 kills, but the Eagles (0-5) had more hitting errors (32) than kills (24) and hit -.080.

The Greyhounds stay on the road next weekend when they open Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action at Niagara and Canisius on Saturday and Sunday, September 15 and 16.
