Baltimore, Md. - The Loyola women's volleyball team fell to 1-7 overall overall with a 3-0 loss at Morgan State on Tuesday night. The Greyhounds fell 30-21, 30-19, 30-24 in the three-game sweep.
Rachel Schillinger, who was named MAAC Player of the Week this week, led the Greyhounds with 10 kills, while Kimi Gabriel had a team-high 14 digs. Both Blair Snyder and Karlee Woodward added nine kills in the loss. Chrissy Curz, who led the team with 15 assists, also had 11 digs.
With the win, Morgan State improves to 2-2 this season. The Greyhounds, who have played all eight games on the road this season, begin their home slate with a tournament this weekend.
Loyola will co-host the Chesapeake Challenge with Navy, hosting games this Friday and Saturday. The Greyhounds face Kennesaw State in their first match at 2 p.m. on Friday.
