Women's Volleyball Opens Battle of Baltimore with Sweep of Morgan State

Annapolis, Md. - A 3-0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-19) sweep over Morgan State (2-4) earned Loyola its first win of the 2009 season, Friday afternoon in Annapolis. The Greyhounds (1-4) snapped the Lady Bears' two-game win streak with the victory.

Nina Camaioni recorded a match-high 18 kills. The Greyhounds far out-hit Morgan State 40-26 and no Lady Bears' hitter had more than eight kills.

Aubrey Kirven had 33 assists and nine digs, while Brittany Born added 17 digs.

Loyola continues play in the Battle of Baltimore tonight at 7 p.m., against Towson (2-2) at Navy's Wesley Brown Field House.
