MOON TOWNSHIP, PA - Loyola's volleyball team dropped its first four matches of the season this past weekend at the Duquesne/Robert Morris Invitational, despite some nice individual efforts against extremely talented competition.
The Greyhounds fell in their season opener 3-1 to Duquesne on Friday morning then came out and lost to Eastern Michigan 3-0 (21-30, 27-30, 17-30) Friday afternoon.
Loyola received no better fate on Saturday either, as the'Hounds dropped their morning match to Robert Morris 3-0 (19-30, 19-30, 21-30) and let one slip away versus Davidson, 3-2, later in the day.
The Greyhounds jumped all over Davidson early, winning games one and two 32-30 and 31-29, respectively, but proceeded to drop the final three games, 30-22, 30-24, and 15-12 to lose the match.

Sophomore Jamie Arndt finished with 35 kills and 17 digs while sophomore Becky Corb nailed down 34 kills and tracked down 39 digs over the four-match stint.
