BALTIMORE - The Loyola University Maryland women’s track and field team announced its 2013-14 indoor schedule on Thursday, a slate that will start in under a month with a December 6 meet.
The season begins on Friday, Dec. 6, as the Greyhounds travel to Bethlehem, Pa., for the Fast Times Before Finals meet hosted by Lehigh University.
Including the opening meet, Loyola will travel to three Patriot League schools this season, including the Sweetheart Multi-Mix at the United States Naval Academy on Tuesday, Feb. 11, and Bucknell University for the league championships.
Loyola will start the new year in New York City, participating in the Gotham Cup on Friday, Jan. 10. A Week later, the Greyhounds will stay in the Free State to compete in the Maryland Invite in Landover, Md.
On Friday, Jan. 31 the squad will split up to run at the Patriot Games hosted by George Mason University, as well as the Penn State National. A limited squad will travel to New York for the Armory Collegiate Invitational on Friday, Feb. 7, before heading to Navy on February 11.
Bucknell will host the Patriot League Indoor Track and Field Championships, February 21-23. The ECAC Championships will be March 7-9 in Boston, for those who qualify, with the top performers advancing to the NCAA Championships March 14-15 in Albuquerque, N.M.
