Track & Field Sees Success At Rider Invitational

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. - A small group of Loyola University Maryland women's track and field athletes competed Saturday at the Rider Invitational, and the group came away with good successes.

The Greyhounds' contingent included sprinters, jumpers and throwers.

Courtney Willeford recorded a fourth-place finish in the javelin with a personal-best throw of 107'6" (32.76m), and Chika Dunga finished fifth in the 400 meters with a time of 63.26.

Alyssa Harrison returned from injury to jump 5'0.5" (1.54m) to take fourth in the high jump.

The Greyhounds return to action for a home meet on Saturday when they host the Loyola/Johns Hopkins Invitational beginning at 11 a.m.
