Women's Track Heads To College Park For Terrapin Invitational

Baltimore, Md. - The Loyola women's track and field team travels to the University of Maryland for the Terrapin Invitational at the Prince George's County Sports and Learning Center this Saturday. Fresh off of four school relay records last week, the team will compete against teams from eight different states in College Park.

Key competitions for the Greyhounds will be the Mile run, where 12-time school record holder, two-time MAAC Champion and two-time NCAA Regional Qualifier Andrea Rovegno will look to move up one spot from her 2nd place finish here last year.

The women's 3000m will feature a trio of `Hounds lead by Junior Maureen Wynne, the 2nd fastest Greyhound ever at the distance behind only teammate Rovegno. Freshmen standouts Lindsay Wilson and Kate Cervo will push Wynne as the trio will look to compete for Top 5 spots. Wilson and Cervo are fresh off of legs on the school record Distance Medley and 4x800 squads from last week.

Senior Caroline Scott will also look to add to Loyola's school records in the 800m, the 500m and 1000m records she has already broken this season. The sprinters, meanwhile, will be led byj Brittany McDonald, Loyola's school record holder in the 300m dash.
