BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Loyola University Maryland women's outdoor track and field team closed out the end of the regular season with its best overall performance of the 2015 campaign at the Lehigh Games Saturday afternoon.
For the second-straight week, freshman Sarah Bronk set a school record in the pole vault and tied for eighth, posting a mark of 3.05m/10'0".
Rebekah Rogerson, Claire Scavone, Eilis McGovern and Eileen Pastyrnak topped their own school record in the 4x100m relay, finishing second in 49.16. At the Colonial Relays earlier in the season, that same squad had combined to set the school record at 49.29.
Individually, Pastyrnak highlighted the day's events, winning the 100m dash with a personal-best time of 12.77 seconds.
Criqui led a trio of Greyhounds to top-10 finishes in the 400m dash. The senior sprinter posted a personal-best time of 59.72 to finish third, after breaking the one-minute mark last weekend at the Morgan State Invitational. Dunleavy also set a PR in the same event, taking fifth in 1:00.09. Senior Jenna Smith broke into the top 10 for the first time in her sprinting career, finishing ninth with a time of 1:01.55.
Rookie Lauren Waldeck shattered her PR in the 100m hurdles by nearly a second, taking fifth in 16.01. McGovern returned to the track as an individual, after strong performances in the relays, finishing third in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:05.97.
Junior Kelly Maguire took sixth in the 800m, crossing the line in 2:18.28.
Earlier in the day, senior Anna Bosse ran in the 1500m race, setting a personal record in 4:44.59 and coming in fourth out of 58 competitors.
Off the track, junior Emma Mascoli finished eighth and set a mark of 9.75m/32'0" in the triple jump.
Up next, Loyola will travel to West Point, New York for the 2015 Patriot League Outdoor Championships hosted by Army West Point. Events are scheduled to run Friday and Saturday, May 1st and 2nd.
