Track Finishes A Weekend At Widener Invitational, Amaducci Scores A New School Record In High Jump

Chester, Pa. - The Greyhounds traveled to Chester, Pa. to compete in the Widener Invitational at Widener University on Friday and Saturday.

Kate Cervo and Alexandra Salani ran in the 5,000 Meter Run and clocked in at 18.14.85 and 18.54.60, respectively.

The relay team of Angeline Diamond, Paige Godfrey, Brittney Goodby and Kristina Krupa ran a 52.93 in the 4x100 Meter Relay.

Loyola had a group of runners in the 1,500 Meter event. Emily Doucette lead the pack at 5:01.83 followed by Alyssa Doyle (5:05.40), Sara Ochs (5:08.12), Rosie Miola (5:18.31), Kelsey Powell (5:33.95) and Catie Fisher (6:22.69).

In the 100 Meter Hurdles, Samantha Westley finished with a 17.30 time and Melanie Mitchell finished at 17.82.

Mitchell also competed in the Shot Put and threw 10:25 meters.

The big highlight for the Greyhounds was Kim Amaducci's performance in the High Jump. She set a new outdoor record with a 1.65 meter jump, good for second place.

Mitchell and Maureen Wynne will travel to the University of Pennslyvania for the Penn Relays starting Tuesday.
