Relay Teams Top Program Records At Colonial Relays

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - A pair of relay teams set program records Saturday afternoon, as the Loyola University Maryland women's track and field team completed competition on the final day of the Colonial Relays.

Rebekah Rogerson, Claire Scavone, Eilis McGovern and Eileen Pastyrnak took 19th in the 4x100m relay, topping the previous school record of 49.71 with a time of 49.29.

Later in the day, Jessa Laspesa, Charlotte Criqui, McGovern and Emma Dunleavy broke the 2012 4x400m program record by .02 seconds, finishing 19th in 3:59.94.

Loyola's sprint medley relay team finished 15th with a time of 4:20.65, while the distance medley relay quad took 10th in 12:23.12.

Off the track, Jenna Smith finished seventh in her triple jump flight, recording a mark of 10.13m/33'3".

Loyola took 35th at the meet, tallying nine team points between two days of competition.

The Greyhounds return home next Saturday to host the squad's lone home meet of the season, the Loyola/Hopkins Invitational.
