Distance Runners Shine After Day One Of Duke Invitational

Durham, N.C. - Loyola women's track kicked things off with a big showing in the 5,000 Meter Run in Day One of the Duke Invitational. Senior Maureen Wynne finished with a 17:50.46 to take third place in the event on Friday evening.

Kate Cervo also ran in the 5K and finished with a 18:27.18.

Alex Salani competed in the 10,000 Meter Run and finished with a 39:27.52 time.

The Greyhounds also had a few sprinters in competition on Friday. In the 400 Meter Hurdles, Nicole Gilhuley and Casey Carey ran in Section 5 and finished at 1:11.91 and 1:13.71, respectively.

Day Two of the Invitational starts at 9:00 a.m. with the Discus Throw and the C Section of the 5,000 Meter Run. Follow all event results on Saturday with Duke Invitational Live Results .
