BOSTON, Mass. - Junior Andrea Rovegno set a school record in the 3,000-meter run as she represented the Greyhounds at last weekend's ECAC Championships.
Competing as the lone Loyola runner, Rovegno finished in 18th place with a record time of 9:50.49. "It was a great race," Coach Julie Culley said. "She fought the whole way after being tired from Saturday's mile trial."
In addition to the 3,000-meter run, Rovegno also competed in the one-mile run, recording a time of 4:59 in the trial.
"Andrea ran a strategic race and really fought hard for every second," Culley said. "It was a great end to an exceptional indoor track and field season."
