Baltimore, Md. - The Loyola women's track team had another solid performance at the Maryland Invitational on Saturday at College Park, Md. Junior Julie Donovan highlighted the Greyhounds performance with no fouls in the triple jump event and finished with a jump of 10.05 meters.

The freshman runners also had a big day in the distance events. Audrey McGonigle and Emily Doucette ran well in the 800 meter, while Katie O'Connor and Rosie Miola finished the day with great individual times in the one mile run.

"The freshmen held down the distance events and all ran really well for this early in the season," Head Coach Jackie Truncellito said. "It's really great to see the younger athletes stepping up."

Junior Kim Amaducci improved to a 1.52 meter jump in the high jump event and finished fifth on Saturday.

Loyola finished with a time of 13:00.69 in distance medley relay. The Greyhounds sprint medley relay team is still looking to improve to qualify for the New Balance Invitational coming up in February.

"The distance medley team needs to hit 12:45 to qualify and we didn't get there today," Trucellito said. "We have three weeks to work on getting there."

Loyola will now have a week off to prepare for the upcoming Ursinus Pentathlon on January 28, and then the Thompson Invitational in Newark, Del. on January 31.
