Greyhound Tennis Swept By Mount St. Mary's

EMMITSBURG, Md. - Despite singles victories by Meaghan McKenna and Mallory Tarca, the Greyhound women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 non-conference defeat at Mount St. Mary's University on Friday afternoon.

Meanwhile, Sean Wall and Sean Kraft each earned singles victories, but the Greyhound women's tennis team lost by a similar 5-2 margin to The Mount to end Loyola's two-match win streak.

Tarca won her second straight match with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at number six singles over Christine Pace. McKenna, competing at number four, earned a 6-3, 6-2 win over Whitney Edmonds. The Mount took the other four singles matches and earned the doubles point with a three-match sweep of the Greyhounds.

Wall earned his victory at number three singles with a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Jeff Lamberton. Competing at number six singles, Kraft earned a 6-4, 6-0 win over Rob Dupaya to give Loyola its only two points of the match. The Mount swept all three doubles matches to earn the doubles point and took four of six singles matches.
