Women's Tennis Knocks Off Delaware, 5-2

NEWARK, DE - Loyola's women's tennis team won the doubles point and four of six singles matches en route to defeating Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) foe Delaware 5-2 in a non-conference road match on Saturday afternoon.

Carolyn Pilkington and Kaitlin Russo combined to squeak out a 9-7 win at No. 1 doubles, Amy Nitch and Jessica Liberatore teamed for an 8-4 victory at No. 2 doubles, and Gina Turturiello and Claire Najour partnered for an 8-4 triumph at No. 3 doubles.

In singles competition, Loyola's No. 3 player Turturiello, No. 4 player Nitch, No. 5 player Liberatore, and No. 6 player Najour all went on to grab straight-set victories, enabling the Greyhounds to bounce the Blue Hens and improve their season record to 6-1.
