Women's Soccer Recognized For Classroom Achievement

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - Loyola University Maryland's women's soccer team was one recognized this week with the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award for having a cumulative grade point average of 3.36.

The Greyhounds were one of 444 teams nationally through all divisions of collegiate play - NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA and junior colleges - to earn the award.

For the fourth-consecutive year, the Loyola women's soccer team had a player earn ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District II honors. Lina Staropoli earned a second team nod for the Greyhounds with a 3.81 grade point average.
