Dec. 6, 2011

The Loyola University Maryland men’s and women’s soccer teams were each honored by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, earning NSCAA Team Academic Awards for the 2010-11 academic year, as announced by the organization.

The award is presented to teams with a cumulative grade-point average above 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. The women’s side finished the 2010-11 academic year with a 3.27 GPA while the men’s side registered a 3.13.

Loyola was one of 154 schools across all divisions, and one of just 63 schools in Division I to have both its men’s and women’s teams earn the distinction.
