College Station, Texas - Graduate Student Theresa Ferraina was named to the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award second team, it was announced at the semifinals of the NCAA College Cup. Emily Peterson of Texas A&M was named the award winner.
Elizabeth Betterbed (Army), Kelsey Davis (Portland), Blakely Mattern (South Carolina) and Kelley O'Hara (Stanford) were named to the first team. Joining Ferraina on the second team were Kristi Eveland (North Carolina), Lauren Lopez (UNC Greensboro), Lizzy Nichols (Harvard) and Myra Sack (Dartomouth).
Named the MAAC Offensive Player of the Year earlier this season, Ferraina finished the season with seven goals and three assists for 17 points. The Lowe's Senior CLASS Award finalist concluded her career ranked third in Loyola history with 65 career points on 25 goals and 15 assists. Her 25 goals also ranks fourth all-time at Loyola, while her 15 assists is tied for sixth in program annals.
The Loyola all-time leader in games played with 83 is also just one of two players in school history to record at least 25 goals and 15 assists in her career.
