KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Loyola University Maryland women’s soccer senior Rosy Hayes was named to the 2015 NCAA Division I All-Mid-Atlantic Region Second Team, as announced by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Friday afternoon.
Hayes, the only unanimous selection to the All-Patriot League First Team, was named the 2015 Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year. She led the Patriot League in points during the conference season, contributing 11, and finished the year with a team-best eight goals.
Hayes became the program’s first major award winner since joining the League in 2013. She not only led the Patriot League in points, but also tied for first in goals (4) and assists (3) in League only contests. During the regular season, the senior captain scored a pair of goals against UMBC to guide the Greyhounds to a 2-0 victory against the Retrievers and become the first Greyhound to score multiple goals in a game since Nichole Schiro recorded a hat trick in 2012. Hayes also netted a League-best four game-winning goals this year.
For her career, the midfielder from Northport, New York, recorded 13 goals, 10 assists and 36 points.
Hayes was one of six players from the Patriot League to be honored with All-Mid-Atlantic Region honors.
