Loyola University Maryland women's soccer junior Nichole Schiro was honored at halftime of the men's basketball game versus Marist on Thursday night. Schiro was presented with a personalized soccer ball that commemorated her record-breaking career goals mark that she set this past season.
The Okemos, Mich., native notched a hat trick in a 5-1 win over Manhattan on October 28, 2011, giving her 34 career goals and breaking the previous mark of 33 set by Ali Adrezejewski. Schiro was named Metro Atlantic Conference Offensive Player of the Year for the second-straight season after leading the team with 11 goals.
Schiro finished the season with 35 career goals as well as 85 career points, which ranks second in school history.
