BALTIMORE - Loyola University Maryland women's soccer head coach Katherine Remy Vettori will leave the school after the expiration of her contract following the 2013 season, the University announced on Monday afternoon.
"We thank Katherine for her service over the last six years," said Jim Paquette, Loyola's assistant vice president and director of athletics. "She has devoted a significant amount of time and energy to our women's soccer program, and I appreciate her efforts."
Assistant coach Emily Janss will serve as the Greyhounds' interim head coach; a national search for the next coach will begin immediately.
Vettori recently concluded her sixth season as the Loyola head coach. During that time, she amassed a 56-49-18 record. She led the Greyhounds to a pair of NCAA tournaments in 2009 and 2012.
Loyola completed the 2013 season with a 2-11-4 overall record and a 1-6-2 mark in Patriot League action.
