Kennington and Tracey Garnish MAAC Women's Soccer Honors

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ - Carolyn Kennington was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year while junior Lindsay Tracey earned Co-Defensive Player of Year while a total of seven Greyhounds were named to the All-MAAC teams.

Kennington, who tied a school record Friday for goals scored in a season, earned the honor for her outstanding performance as a freshman on Loyola's women's soccer team. Kennington has led the Greyhounds in scoring this season with 11 goals and six assists for a total of 28 points. She has scored six game-winning goals in her rookie season.

Tracey, a pivotal member of the defensive unit, shared her honor with Niagara's goalkeeper Katy Owings.

The Greyhounds earned five spots on the All-MAAC first team, including Tracey and Kennington. Senior Katie Elliott and sophomores Lisa Jaffa and Ashley Kramer also earned first team status. Second team honors went to freshman Kaitlin Klar and Courtney Arikian.

Kennington, Klar and Arikian where also named to the All-Rookie team.
