Six Women's Soccer Players Earn MAAC All-Academic Status

Edison, N.J. - Six members of the Loyola College women's soccer team were named to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference's All-Academic team as announced by the conference office Thursday. Ashley Kramer, Leigh Ann Mastrini, Caitlin McCusker, Erica Niemann, Ellen Sroka and Lindsay Tracey were among the 54 women's soccer student-athletes to earn the honor.

To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at their institution, be a significant starter or reserve and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale. Marist College led all schools with 13 members named to the team.

Canisius College, Loyola College, Manhattan College and Siena College all had six student-athletes. Fairfield University had five athletes named to the team, while Saint Peter's added four players. Niagara University and Rider University both had three members named to the team, and Iona College rounded out the team with two athletes.

In addition, Siena's Anna Revette was named the 2004 New York Lottery Scholar-Athlete of the Year for women's soccer.
