Women's Soccer Back in Regional Rankings

Oct. 29, 2007

BALTIMORE - Loyola College's women's soccer team re-entered the SoccerBuzz Magazine regional rankings today for the first time since the preseason, checking in at No. 14 in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

The Greyhounds (7-5-4 overall, 4-0-3 MAAC) opened the year ranked 15th in the region, but have not been ranked in 2007 during the regular-season.

Loyola defeated Siena, 3-0, and tied Marist, 0-0, last weekend to improve to 4-0-3 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. The Greyhounds are in second place in the conference, a point behind Marist entering the final week of the regular-season.

The Greyhounds take on another regionally-ranked team in their next game. Loyola plays Fairfield, ranked 13th in the Northeast region, on Friday, November 2, at 7 p.m.
