Unbeaten Streak Lifts Women's Soccer Into Regional Rankings

Oct. 28, 2008

BALTIMORE - The Loyola women's soccer team's 10-match unbeaten streak was one of several reasons the Greyhounds reentered the SoccerBuzz Magazine Mid-Atlantic Regional Rankings in this week's edition.

The Greyhounds (7-5-4 overall, 5-0-2 MAAC) are tabbed 14th in the deep Mid-Atlantic Region. This poll marks the first time since the publication's preseason list that the Greyhounds have been regionally ranked in 2008.

Loyola is riding a 10-match unbeaten streak, a span during which the Greyhounds have gone 7-0-3. The Greyhounds last lost, 2-1, to Indiana on September 14.

Thanks to a 14-3 scoring advantage in MAAC play, the Greyhounds sit atop the conference's standings with two matches to play.

The team returns to action on Friday, October 31, when they begin their final regular-season road trip in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., against Marist at 7 p.m.
