Women's Soccer Ranked Sixth Regionally By <i>Soccer Buzz</i>

Baltimore, Md. - With two wins last week, the Loyola College women's soccer team moved from seventh to sixth place in the Soccer Buzz Mid-Atlantic Regional poll. The Greyhounds topped conference opponents Iona and Fairfield, both by scores of 1-0.

Leading the Mid-Atlantic Region rankings is Penn State with a record of 14-0. The Nittany Lions rank first nationally. Rounding out the remaining top five are Virginia (10-3-1), West Virginia (8-3-3), Villanova (8-3-4) and Old Dominion (10-2-0). For a listing of this week's Soccer Buzz poll, click here

Loyola is currently 11-4-0 overall and undefeated in conference play at 6-0-0. The five time Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference champions face Saint Peter's and Manhattan this weekend at home before closing the regular season schedule by hosting Rider the following weekend.

The Greyhounds also rank in the region according to the National Soccer Coaches of Association of America in 10th place.
