Baltimore, Md. - The Loyola College women's soccer team opens its Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference schedule Saturday by traveling to Rider. The Greyhounds are 1-5-2 on the season while the Broncs are 2-4-2 to date.
The Greyhounds are currently led in scoring by senior Carolyn Kennington's three goals this season. Freshman Colleen Kinealy has tallied a goal and an assist to rank second in points while senior Courtney Arikain has a goal as well. Theresa Ferraina, Heather Cooke and Christina Gomez have each recorded an assist. Freshman Brittany Henderson has a goals-against average of 1.58 and saves percentage of .707.
The Broncs have posted wins over Delaware State (3-0) and St. Joseph's (2-0) this season while their losses have come at the hands of Towson (2-0), UMBC (2-1 OT), Long Island (2-0) and George Washington (3-1). Rider has registered ties with Drexel (0-0) and Monmouth (1-1). The Broncs are led in scoring by Kelli Burke and Stephanie Madden's two goals each. Four other players have each scored one goal. Goalkeeper Kim Carter has a goals-against average of 1.17 and saves percentage of .762.
