BALTIMORE - Local standout Kelsey Donohue has signed a National Letter of Intent and will join the Loyola College women's soccer Class of 2013, Head Coach Katherine Vettori announced today.

Donohue, who was a four-year letter winner at nearby Mercy High School and played club soccer for SAC Premier United, joins Nicole Alagna, Danielle Ippolito, Gianna Garfall, Gianna Mangione, Tessa McClenahan, Jennifer Melón, Nichole Schiro, Jenny Thornton, and Brittany Yancey in the Class of 2013.

"Kelsey completes a recruiting class that we believe is going to be an excellent addition to our program," Vettori said. "We are looking forward to start practice in August and get ready for the 2009 season."

Donohue earned All-Star honors from the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland (IAAM) in 2007 and was an All-Baltimore City honoree by The Baltimore Sun in 2006 and 2008. She was the Magic's captain as a junior and senior and also was a three-year track and field letterwinner.

She played for the Maryland State Olympic Development Program team in 2005 and 2007 and was named to the Baltimore Soccer Challenge All-Tournament Team in 2007 while playing for the PSC Predators.
