Loyola University Maryland will host a celebration of women and their contributions to, and ongoing participation in, athletics on February 27, 2011, when the Greyhounds’ women’s basketball team will host Saint Peter’s College.
This event is open to girls from kindergarten through eighth grade and will feature exciting events starting at 10 a.m. This event includes free admission to the basketball game at noon and ends with an autograph session and ice cream social with the players.
Check-in time starts at 10 a.m. in McGuire Hall in the Loyola’s Andrew White Student Center. From there, participants will tour the athletic facilities and interact with athletes from Loyola University’s nine varsity women’s sports and enjoy face painting, tattoos, spirit poster design and more.
The girls also will be treated to free pizza while they prepare to cheer on the Loyola women’s basketball team as they take on Saint Peter’s College.
All activities are free of charge, and participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt and more.
