BALTIMORE - Loyola University Maryland head women's lacrosse coach Jen Adams announced that Colleen Dawson will remain with the program as the Director of Lacrosse Operations. Dawson will continue to assist Adams and the coaching staff with many administrative duties including travel, academics and video coordination.
"We are privileged to have Colleen rejoin us in this year as the Director of Lacrosse Operations for women's lacrosse here at Loyola," Adams said. "Colleen brings a wealth of experience in the sport of lacrosse, as well as a first-hand understanding of what it means to be a successful student-athlete at the collegiate level."
Dawson, the program's first Director of Lacrosse Operations, was a member of the Maryland women's lacrosse program from 2008-11, helping the Terrapins capture three-straight ACC Championships and the 2010 NCAA Championship. Throughout that time, Maryland played for the ACC title all four seasons and advanced to the NCAA Tournament all four years, including playing for the national title twice.
A native of West Chester, Pa., Dawson earned her Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology in 2011. She was a University of Maryland Scholar Athlete throughout her entire career and was a two-time ACC Honor Roll honoree.
Following her collegiate career, Dawson spent a year abroad working and coaching youth lacrosse programs in Australia.
