Baltimore, Md. - The Loyola College women's lacrosse team recently returned from their overseas to Scotland, England and Italy. The trip featured contests against both the England and Scotland World Cup teams giving the Greyhounds beneficial international experience. Along with their international play dates, Rome was the highlight of the trip.
"It was exciting to take our team abroad and competing against the England and Scottish teams as well as our girls gaining some worldly experience," head coach Kerri O'Day said.
The NCAA allows teams to take an international trip once every four years. The Greyhounds visited Australia in 1997, England and Ireland in 2001 and the next trip allowed will be scheduled for 2009.
