BALTIMORE - Two recent graduates of the Loyola University Maryland women's lacrosse team have been selected to play in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association North-South All-Star Game.
Gardner was a two-year starter for the Greyhounds on defense. In 18 starts in 2010, she helped Loyola hold opponents to under 10 goals per game. She also scooped up 12 ground balls and caused six turnovers.
Gibson earned IWLCA Regional All-America honors last month after scoring a career-high 33 goals and 48 points to finish second on the team in both categories. She led the team with 44 ground balls and 36 caused turnovers, earning All-BIG EAST Second Team honors in the process.
Gardner and Gibson both graduated last month. Each received their bachelor of arts degrees in communications with concentrations in advertising and public relations.
The Greyhounds finished the season with a 11-7 record and earned a bid to their first-ever BIG EAST Championships.
