Baltimore, Md. - Loyola College junior Kate McHarg was honored by the Intercollegiate Women's lacrosse Association Tuesday by being named second-team All-America. The All-America squad is comprised of 48 Division I athletes who were selected from the regional teams. McHarg was a first-team All-Mid-Atlantic selection.
McHarg finished the season leading her team in scoring with 60 goals and nine assists. She also led the BIG EAST in goal scoring and led the nation in goals per game. McHarg was named the BIG EAST Midfielder of the Year and to the first-team all-BIG EAST. She was honored as her team's MVP as well. McHarg also led the Greyhounds in draw controls this season with 38 and groundballs with 38. The team captain is just the third player in school history to score back-to-back 50+ goals in a season. This is her second career all-region honor.
