May 3, 2015

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Loyola University Maryland women's lacrosse team will travel to Boston College to face Bryant in the first round of the NCAA Championships on Friday. Game time will be announced later.

The Greyhounds (15-4, 8-0 Patriot League) earned an automatic bid to the national tournament after winning the Patriot League for the second-straight year and will return to Boston College for the first round of NCAAs for a second-straight year.

Bryant (14-4, 6-1 Northeast Conference), winners of the NEC for a second-straight year, will also make a return trip to Boston College, as the Bulldogs faced the Eagles in last year's first round.

This will mark the fifth-straight year that Loyola has participated in the NCAA Championships and will be the 18th appearance for the Greyhounds in program history. Loyola holds an overall record of 15-17 in tournament games.

This will also be the first meeting between Loyola and Bryant in women's lacrosse.

The winner of Friday's game will advance to the second round to face the fifth-seeded Eagles on Sunday. The semifinals and finals of this year's NCAA Championships are scheduled for May 22 and 24 at PPL Park in Chester, Pennsylvania.
