Vote Clark for ILWomen National Player of the Week
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Loyola University Maryland women's lacrosse junior Emily Clark has been named the Corvias Patriot League Midfield Player of the Week, as announced by the League office Monday.
Clark scored a career-best four goals in Loyola's lone game of the week, including the game-winning goal in overtime, to lead the Greyhounds to a 14-13 win over Lehigh Saturday. The Street, Maryland, native also won the opening draw control in overtime to finish the game with a personal-best four.
She also set career highs in assists, dishing out two, and points, finishing with a team-best six.
For the season, Clark is sixth on the squad with 10 goals and 14 points. She also has 11 ground balls, 12 draw controls and 10 caused turnovers.
This marks the first career weekly award for Clark, while she's Loyola's second midfielder to be honored this year, as redshirt freshman Sabrina Tabasso earned the accolade on March 21.
The Greyhounds will return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Bucknell for a 5 p.m. opening draw.
