McKay Named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week

Baltimore, Md. - Loyola senior Kristin McKay was named this week's BIG EAST women's lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference office Monday. McKay helped the Loyola defense to a 15-13 win over UConn last week. Georgetown's Coco Stanwick was named the Offensive Player of the Week.

McKay, in her second game since returning from an injury, recorded a team-high four caused turnovers while picking on three groundballs and winning two draw controls. This season, in six games played, McKay has picked up 17 groundballs, 10 caused turnovers and seven draw controls.

This week, the Greyhounds return to action on Saturday, April 22 when they host Stanford at 1:00.
