Baltimore, Md. - This week the Loyola College women's lacrosse team plays its fourth BIG EAST contest as well as travelling to local-rival Maryland. The Greyhounds travel to No. 19 UConn on Wednesday and to No. 2 Maryland on Friday for a night game.
ABOUT THE `HOUNDS
Loyola continued to be led in points by sophomore Colleen O'Keefe with 13 goals and eight assists this season. Leading the way in goals is junior Maura Kenny and senior Kate McHarg, who each have 16 goals as well as three assists. Junior Kate Filippelli follows with 12 goals and three assists to round out the Greyhounds with double-digits in points.
Freshman Karen Nicolaus has played a majority of the minutes in goal, posting a 12.86 goals against average and a .413 saves percentage.
SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
The Huskies are currently 6-5 on the season and 0-3 in BIG EAST play. UConn has wins over Boston College (17-12), Harvard (15-8), California (13-12), UC Davis (13-9), Stanford (16-10) and Central Connecticut (16-4) while their losses have come at the hands of Rutgers (11-10), Northwestern (22-5), Notre Dame (12-11), Syracuse (18-16) and Yale (11-7).
Shannon Burke leads the Huskies in scoring with 28 goals and 38 assists this season. Kristin Link follows with 27 goals and five assists. Five other UConn players rank in double-digits in goals and points.
Clare Schwan leads the team in groundballs (30) and caused turnovers (23) while Katy Ryan leads the way in draw controls with 22.
Jenna Moulton has played a majority of the team's minutes in goal with an 11.58 goals-against average and a .448 saves percentage.

SCOUTING THE TERPS
Maryland is 12-1 on the season. They have wins over UMBC (23-*), Boston College (18-8), Duke (19-18), Richmond (15-9), Brown (19-6), Dartmouth (13-7), Johns Hopkins (22-15), UNC (8-6), Stanford (15-7), Georgetown (14-10), Ohio State (19-12) and Penn State (10-9) while their only loss is to Virginia (15-4).
Dana Dobbie and Krista Pellizzi tie the points lead for the Terps with 49 each. Dobbie has 39 goals and 10 assists while Pellizzi has 36 goals and 13 assists. Seven other Terrapin players have double-digit points totals.
Allie Buote leads the team in groundballs with 28. Dobbie is the leader in draw controls with 51 while Becky Clipp as 18 caused turnovers.
Buote is the team's primary goalkeeper, posting a 9.88 goals-against average and a .483 saves percentage.
