Providence, R.I. - Midfielder Grace Gavin has been named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday afternoon. This is the first time in her career that Gavin received the conference's Player of the Week award. Additionally, Ana Heneberry was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
Gavin scored seven points on three goals and four assists in a 16-6 victory against Cincinnati Saturday, April 3. Her four assists were a career-high and her seven points matched her season-high. Gavin, who also controlled a team-high four draws, recorded all four of her assists in the second half in a 21 minute, 28 second span.
Gavin also cracked Loyola's top ten in both points and goals in the contest.
Heneberry led the team with four ground balls and four caused turnovers as Loyola caused a season-high 22 on the day.
